What to Bring
- Standard PPE for working on site.
- Calibrated earth tester 3 or 4 pole (not clamp tester), leads and spikes.
- In house/company test report paperwork for the preparation of reports including:
- Test/ Certificates
- Inspection/ Report forms.
- Notebook, pen/pencil
Course Information
This course provides the applicants with the necessary knowledge and training to carry out testing & inspection of lightning protection systems and earthing arrangements in accordance with BSEN 62305 / BS 6651 / BS 7430.

Course Information
The course will be delivered by an ATLAS-endorsed course provider and the course content will meet the requirements for the renewal of CSCS cards. Operatives will receive training in the full range of areas, including:
• The Health and Safety at Work Act, health and safety regulations and industry standards
• Suitable structures for anchors
• Suitable anchors for the base material and structure
• Correct anchors and their working loads
• Transferring loads through anchors and how to install anchors
• Best locations to install anchors in structure
• Required testing regimes for anchors
• Appropriate actions to take if an anchor fails a test
• Understanding the way loads are transferred through anchors when installing steeplejack ladders and scaffold.

The aims and objectives of this training course / qualification, is to train Steeplejacks /Lighting protection installers in the general principals of the use and installation, suspension /beams and the understanding of bending moments, kentledge, calculations, and safety requirements of the system
