Anchors for Steeplejacks must be undertaken by any Steeplejack prior to renewing their CSCS Skilled Worker card.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

The cost is £30.00+VAT per delegate*^

*This course is eligible for an achievement grant of £30.00 from CITB, which you will need to claim for manually after completion of the course on the CITB Website.  Therefore, the real cost to your company is £0.00+VAT per delegate, subject to CITB’s terms and conditions.  

^If you are not CITB registered please contact SLPTG for the price to your company, as the price shown may include CITB funding to which you are not entitled.

Booking Conditions

SLPTG members are entitled to subsidised places on this course.  There is a limit of three places available per member per course regardless of location.  Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.  This course is available to SLPTG members only.

What to Bring

  • Photographic ID (Passport or Driving Licence)
  • Safety Boots/Shoes.

Course Information

The course will be delivered by an ATLAS-endorsed course provider and the course content will meet the requirements for the renewal of CSCS cards.  Operatives will receive training in the full range of areas, including:

• The Health and Safety at Work Act, health and safety regulations and industry standards
• Suitable structures for anchors
• Suitable anchors for the base material and structure
• Correct anchors and their working loads
• Transferring loads through anchors and how to install anchors
• Best locations to install anchors in structure
• Required testing regimes for anchors
• Appropriate actions to take if an anchor fails a test
• Understanding the way loads are transferred through anchors when installing steeplejack ladders and scaffold.

Candidate Details

The compulsory candidate information below is required in order for us to facilitate your automatic achievement grant payment. Not supplying the full details will mean that a manual grant claim would have to be completed by your company.

Payment


Your place will be confirmed once your booking request has been processed. Submitting this form is not confirmation of booking.

Payment
If your booking is confirmed, payment must be received at the latest 30 days from receipt of the invoice date or in advance of the training course, whichever is the sooner and regardless of booking date. Payment information is provided on the invoice.

Overdue Payments
Any Member failing to pay outstanding monies within two months after due date will automatically be suspended therefore will be ineligible to attend meetings or gain any benefit of membership. Membership will only be reinstated once payment of an 8.75% late payment surcharge is made. Any Member suspended for non-payment of outstanding monies that fails to pay outstanding monies in full within one month of start of suspension will have their Membership terminated.

Cancellations
Cancellations must be received in writing via email to  info@slptraininggroup.org.uk and must contain the full booking details including delegate and organisation name and contact details. Your cancellation will be confirmed in writing to the fee payer along with an invoice for any outstanding fees due. The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel a booking for a training course:
  • For the period of nine days or less prior to the course start date, no refund/credit will be given, any outstanding fees must be paid regardless of attendance
  • For the period of 10 days or more prior to the course start date, a full refund/credit will be given.

  • Substitute Attendees
    A place at a training course can be used by a substitute attendee at no extra charge. Please email info@slptraininggroup.org.uk with details of the original attendee and the nominated substitute’s details, including name, job title, organisation, email address and telephone number.

    Course Dates, Venues and Postponement
    SLPTG reserves the right to alter course dates, venues and locations where necessary without liability. As much advance notice will be given as possible via the attendee’s email address provided at time of booking. If the delegate is unable to attend the course at the revised location or date, SLPTG will refund/credit 100% of the delegate fee or offer a credit for a future course.

    In the event of cancellation a full refund/credit will be offered.

    SLPTG cannot offer refunds for cancellations due to circumstances outside its control; including adverse weather conditions, transportation issues, major incidents or industrial action. SLPTG will not be liable for any other costs incurred including (for example) travel charges or any consequential damages, even if advised of these costs.

    Other terms
    SLPTG does not accept responsibility for attendees’ personal belongings or valuables, for example, laptops or communications devices brought to courses. These remain the responsibility of the individual attendees.
    SLPTG reserves the right to remove any attendee from their course should their behaviour be deemed inappropriate. In such event, no refund of course fees or other costs will be made.
    We only store and use this data for the purposes of booking candidates onto relevant courses. No data is passed onto any third party.
